This is a research project of PMI-NIC, the Northern Italy Chapter of Project Management Institute (http://www.pmi-nic.org)
The aim of the research it’s to set a new perspective in evaluating software tools for Project Managment. Many useful sites exist about the topic, since the support for projects is a growing need for companies and professionals.
The innovation of the research is the methodology: three use cases example were built, simulating situations and needs of both project manager and project team. Attached to each use case there are actions the team should perform on a supporting tool. The tool is then evaluated on the basis of its ability to support and fulfill the team actions.
More details about the methodology and the ranking concepts are explained in a specific section.
The project management community is welcomed to contribute on both the use cases improvement and the tools evaluation.
Thanks!
